We’ve got an important secret to share
There’s something you should know about Italian food: there’s no such thing as “Italian food”! Italians know this and we think it’s important to share this honest truth with you so that you can experience our culinary culture in the most genuine way.
This basically means that there is not one single dish that represents Italy as a whole. Not pizza, not pasta, not tiramisù. Italy’s cuisine is regional and, even more so, local. Each of Italy’s 20 regions has a different territory, climate, history, and culture. They grow different ingredients, prepare different local dishes, and have different culinary traditions. Only by experiencing this genuine diversity will you have an authentic understanding of Italy’s food and wine.
Local Aromas is committed to helping you fall in love with Italy’s local food and wine.
Meet the bianchini family
Local Aromas is a family business run by the Bianchini family in Rome, Italy. Papà Riccardo, a retired Alitalia Manager, gave us the priceless opportunity to grow up abroad in Thailand, Belgium, Venezuela, and Chile. Mamma Giuliana, an amazing home chef, raised us as Italians through her food, rules, and storytelling, making our return to Italy effortless.
Foodie Sisters Benedetta and Valeria gradually embraced their true passions. Benedetta is a wine sommelier, an olive oil sommelier, and a professional cheese taster. Valeria is a trained pastry chef.
At some point, we realized that our passion and knowledge for Italy’s food and wine were so strong that we just couldn’t keep them to ourselves. That is when we decided, as a family, to create our company, Local Aromas.
Welcome to the Local Aromas Family where we treasure each and every one of you as part of our family.
Words From our Local Aromas Family
Everything was perfect, The atmosphere, the conversations, and the food that we ended up cooking was to die for.
Within very few minutes it felt like we were with friends and family.
All these places were off the beaten path of tourists so were very authentic, delicious, and unusual for a tour of a city.
We’ve actually been in touch since our visit. Once you book a tour with Local Aromas, they are your friends in Rome and encourage questions.
