If you feel that the tour or cooking class you attended did not meet the promises we made on the specific tour or cooking class pages and on our FAQs page, you are fully entitled to a 100% refund. Please send us an email with the tour or cooking class you attended, the reason you want a full refund, and some constructive feedback.

You get to keep your life-time, free-of-charge membership to the “The Local Aromas Family”. No hard feelings whatsoever on our part. That’s what family is all about!

Our tours and cooking classes must be paid in advance directly online with a valid credit card. Select the tour or class you want to book and follow the instructions on our online booking system. You will get a confirmation email upon a successful purchase. Check your spam for emails and vouchers, that’s where they end up sometimes.

We run small group tours of approximately 10-12 people.

90-MINUTE TOURS
The minimum group size for our 90-Minute Tours vary according to the experience. The minimum number of our daytime tours is 1, while for our wine tasting tours the minimum number is 4. Please refer to the details of each single tour for more information on the minimum and maximum group size.

SPECIAL EDITIONS & CLASSES
The minimum and maximum group size for our Special Editions and our Cooking Classes vary according to the experience. See the details of the single class for more information.

IMPORTANT
We do not count BABIES & TODDLERS (0 – 3 years of age) as participants as they do not pay and can share the food with their parents. However, when booking your tickets online, please specify if and how many babies/toddlers are in your party.

LARGE GROUPS
If you want to book a Food & Wine Tour or Cooking Class for a large group, please contact us and we can work it out!

When do 90-Minute Tours get cancelled?

When do 90-Minute Tours get cancelled?

DAYTIME 90-MINUTE TOURS
The minimum group size for our daytime 90-Minute Tours is 1! Our tours are not subject to minimum number, therefore, we do not cancel on you even when you are the only one there. YAY! Only an unexpected and unsolvable event could be the cause of a cancellation.

WINE TASTING 90-MINUTE TOURS
If a 90-Minute wine tasting tour does not reach the minimum required number of participants booked, it will be cancelled. 24 hours before the event date, the value of your booking will be converted into an e-certificate. You can then either choose another event in the future (Cooking Class, 90-Minute Food & Drink Tours or Special Editions) or get a full refund. An e-certificate is refundable as long as it hasn’t been redeemed or partially used.
We will notify you by email within 24 hours from the start of the experience.

If a tour is running, you can purchase a ticket until 15 minutes before the start of the tour, if tickets are still available. This is a great option if you are close to the starting point or have finished a tour with us and want to jump onto the next one.

Our tours are held rain or shine. If necessary, variations may occur to accommodate the weather.

IMPORTANT: When you purchase a ticket online, please make sure you leave an email and phone number you have frequent access to. We may need to get in touch with you before a tour or class for important updates.

When do Special Editions & Cooking Classes get cancelled?

When do Special Editions & Cooking Classes get cancelled?

If the minumum number of a Special Edition or Cooking Class is reached, the event is CONFIRMED. You will receive a CONFIRMATION EMAIL 24 hours before the event date.

If the minumum number is NOT reached, the event gets CANCELLED. 24 hours before the event date, the value of your booking will be converted into an e-certificate. You can then either choose another event in the future (Cooking Class, 90-Minute Food & Drink Tours or Special Editions) or get a full refund. An e-certificate is refundable as long as it hasn’t been redeemed or partially used.

If you cannot attend a 90-Minute Tour, Special Edition or Cooking Class you have purchased, please contact us and notify us via email, phone or contact form on our website. This also applies for additional services you may have booked.

Cancellation refunds depend on the notification date and apply to all of our tours, cooking classes and additional services:

  • 95% refund if you notify us 7 days before the tour, cooking class or service date (a 5% booking fee is lost).
  • 50% refund if you notify us between 3 and 6 days before the tour, cooking class or service date.
  • No refund if you notify us 48 hours before the tour, cooking class or service date and for no-shows or late arrivals.

According to availability and date of notification, tours and cooking classes can be rescheduled.

Our tours and cooking classes normally run in English, unless specified otherwise on the specific tour or class page. Upon request, we can run tours in other languages (Italian, Spanish, French, German).

Local Aromas is a family run company so we are happy to have families and children on board.

Fees for our tours & cooking classes are as follows:

  • BABIES & TODDLERS (0 – 3 years of age) do not pay. They can share the food with mom and dad.
  • CHILDREN (4 – 12 years of age) get a 20% discount from the full price.
  • TEENAGERS (13+) pay the full amount of the ticket.

IMPORTANT: When booking your tickets online, please specify if and how many babies/toddlers are in your party.

Evening tours are focused on wine tasting and participats must be 18+ years of age to attend. If you need assistance for a free night, we can book a babysitter for you.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

On the specific tour and cooking class page, we have listed which dietary restricitions we are NOT able to accommodate. They refer to that particular experience only.

IMPORTANT: On the online booking form, please specify the dietary restrictions of your party and the number of people they apply to.

90-MINUTE TOURS & SPECIAL EDITIONS:
Unless otherwise specified, our vendors and partners can accommodate gluten-free diets. PLEASE NOTICE that they are NOT certified gluten-free locations and do not have separate gluten-free kitchens. They CANNOT, therefore, guarantee that cross-contamination with gluten-containing ingredients do not occur. Please consider this if there is someone affected by celiac disease in your party.

COOKING CLASSES:
We take food intolerances and allergies very seriously. We have therefore decided that we CANNOT accommodate gluten-free diets on any of our cooking classes. The kitchen, utensils and oven have cross-contamination with gluten-containing ingredients.

We are working on certified gluten-free food tour itineraries. If you would like to customize a private gluten-free food tour, please contact us.

What if I have restricted mobility?

Restricted mobility may be an issue for some tours. We will try our very best to find a suitable solution.

Restricted mobility is an issue for our cooking class as the narrow elevator cannot accommodate a wheelchair.

If someone in your party has restricted mobility, please contact us.

Do you offer car transfers?

Car transfers are not included in our tours. We are happy to organize a customized car transfer to/from our tours and cooking classes with an additional cost.

Please contact us if you need a babysitter, driver, sign language guide or other additional services. These are customized services we need to work together on.

Please notice that additional services must be requested with at least 48 hours notice and they are subject to availability from our partners.

Of course! You can book any of our existing tours and cooking classes as private and we can customize them around your needs and palate. Pricing varies according to the number of participants and services.

Do the guides and home chefs accept gratuities?

Gratuities are always highly appreciated! They are not mandatory and there is no fixed percentage service charge. It is up to you, especially if you are happy with the experience and with our guide or sommelier.
