Sisters Lina and Mary have been running this Trastevere institution for 29 years and continue to focus on high-quality products and wines served in an elegant and refined space. Lina’s award-winning wine cellar features over 1600 labels while Mary’s gastronomic influence is seen in classic regional cuisine, sometimes with an unexpected twist, always using top ingredients. One of the forerunners of multi-functional dining in Rome, Enoteca Ferrara is comprised of an upscale ristorante, a low-key, relaxed osteria, an informal wine-bar (which serves a limited food menu) and a craft beer bar with finger food all under the stunning roof of an ex-convent dating back to the 15 th century.

The parents of Francesco, Roberto and Maria Chiara di Felice took over this well-established hole-in- the-wall Trastevere trattoria back in the 1980s and this next generation continue its long-held tradition of fantastic cucina romana albeit with a new emphasis on exceptional ingredients to bring the home-cooked food to a new culinary level. Aside from excellently- executed Roman pastas there are succulent meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, crispy fried artichokes, authentic oxtail stew and a charming selection of daily specials chalked up in the corner.
